Jay-Z, the Church, Beyoncé oh my!

* disclaimer* this is for believers.

So there’s been allot a talk about Jay-Z and his new music and how it has showed signs of him selling his soul to the devil (which I believe is impossible since it wasn’t his to begin with). Also people have drawn serious attention to the fact that in Jay-Z new song Empire State of Mind he says “…Jesus can’t save you, life starts when the church ends.” which can be a serious problem since “the church” is the body.

But I wonder why noone  is speaking out about Beyonce and the fact that Beyonce hasn’t said anything about her husbands actions since on many occasions she has talked about her belief in God and in her song survivor she states “I’m not gonna compromise my Christianity,”. Now I know people say they believe in things all the time to get press, money and fame however Beyonce belief in God is something that she has talked about frequently meanwhile her husband is raping about the death of the church and running around calling himself “Hova,” a play on “Jehovah,”.

I say if your going to say you won’t listen to Jay-Z because of these reasons you shouldn’t be listening to Beyonce either.

I usually don’t care much about or focus on celebrities but this is something that has been brought to my attention many times.

anyway just my opinon, Pray for our music artisit.

  1. oh i interpreted it different. i dunno. the lyrics before the last part are

“good girls gone bad, the city’s filled with them,
Mommy took a bus trip and now she got her bust out,
everybody ride her, just like a bus route,
Hail Mary to the city youre a Virgin,
and Jesus can’t save you, life starts when the church ends”

i thought it was directed at party girls who show up to church on sunday to only go back sleeping around the town when church is over.

jay z is a mysterious dude but i’ve heard him say he believes in one God and hates religion. so who knows!
