On March 8th the world heard of Trayvon Martin for the first time The Young Turks was the only mainstream media reporting on this tragedy here is what he knew on March 8th
March 8th: Trayvon Martin was visiting father and step mother in a gated community in Orlando he was watching a basketball game with his family and decided to go to the store and get some snacks requested by his 13-year-old brother .
On that day Trayvon Martin was spotted by George Zimmerman while he was walking home from the store.
Zimmerman called the police reporting a suspicious person the police told Zimmerman he did not need to follow Trayvon because police were on the way Zimmerman followed anyway. What happens next is a mystery but Trayvon Martin was dead and George Zimmerman had not been arrested claiming self defense on the night of the shooting, Zimmerman told police that the six-foot, three-inch, 140-pound teen assaulted him and in fear for his life, he pulled a Kel Tek 9mm handgun from his waistband and shot Trayvon dead. The Sanford Police believed that, that was enough to let Zimmerman go since Florida has a “Stand Your Ground Law”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stand-your-ground_law Trayvon Martin had a pack of skittles and a ice tea on him.
A change.org petition was created for Trayvon’s family http://www.change.org/petitions/prosecute-the-killer-of-our-son-17-year-old-trayvon-martin the petition is now at 2,261,146 signatures.

March 17th: 911 tapes are released to the public some say that the heard more then one shot being fired http://www.orlandosentinel.com/videogallery/68870555/News/911-call:-Yelling-&-gunshot-heard-in-background
911 tapes released Friday detail moments of terror in the neighborhood as residents made a flurry of calls describing a gunshot and a teen wailing for help.
In some of the recordings, a voice screams “Help, help!” in the background.
“There were gunshots right outside my house. There’s someone screaming, I just heard a guy shot,” a neighbor says. “Hurry up, they are right outside my house.”
Recordings mirrored the same details: A man outside was crying for help, followed by the sound of a gunshot.
“Hurry please … there’s someone screaming outside,” a neighbor whispers. “There’s a gunshot, hurry up … there’s someone screaming. I just heard a gunshot.”
In another call, a woman begs the dispatchers to send help, saying someone is “screaming and hollering” for help.
Moments later, she describes a light at the scene of the shooting.
“Oh my God …” she said, “There’s still somebody out there walking with a flashlight.”
Zimmerman told police he shot the teen in self defense, authorities said, and remains free as the state attorney investigates. Police said he has not been charged because there are no grounds to disprove his story of what happened.
George Zimmerman has still not been arrested

March 20th: Trayvon’s girlfriend comes forward and says she was on the phone with him moments before he was shot dead her cell phone records collaborate this story
According to Trayvon’s girlfriend who last spoke to Trayvon:
“He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man, I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.”
Eventually he would run, said the girl, thinking that he’d managed to escape. But suddenly the strange man was back, cornering Trayvon.
“Trayvon said, ‘What, are you following me for,’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here.’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell. I called him again and he didn’t answer the phone.”
The line went dead. Besides screams heard on 911 calls that night as Martin and Zimmerman scuffled, those were the last words he said.

Two lawmakers who crafted the Stand Your Ground Law say the measure doesn’t apply to the shooter of Trayvon Martin, a Miami teen shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer, and he should face charges.
“He has no protection under my law,” said Former Sen. Durell Peaden, one of the law’s authors, The Miami Herald reported. “They got the goods on him. They need to prosecute whoever shot the kid.”
“When the Legislature passed this in 2005, I don’t think they planned for people who would go out and become vigilantes or be like some weird Batman who would go out and kill little kids like Trayvon,” the newspaper quoted Sen. Oscar Braynon (D-Miami Gardens) as saying.
Baxley said there is nothing in the law that allows people to pursue and confront people.
“There’s nothing in the Florida law that allows him to follow someone with a d*** gun,” said Peaden.

Thousands are expected to attend as the wave of resentment and anger has spilled from this city of just over 50,000 to as far away as New York City. March 29th: George Zimmerman’s Father background reveled
George Zimmerman’s father served as a Supreme Court magistrate in the Virginia court system until five years ago, serving as a court officer who dealt with criminal cases.
The Virginia court system is subdivided into supreme and circuit courts, lower courts and magistrates, who perform judicial functions such as conducting “probable cause” hearings on criminal complaints brought by police and determining whether a person who has been arrested is eligible for bail.
An ABC affiliate in Florida posted a statement from Kristi Wright, with the Department of Legislative and Public Relations in Virginia, which read:
“Robert J. Zimmerman served as a full-time magistrate from 2000-2006. Please be advised that in Virginia magistrates are judicial officers, but they are not considered “judges” and do not possess trial jurisdiction. More detailed information on the role of the magistrate in Virginia is available on Virginia’s Judicial System Website.”

Joe Oliver “friend” of George Zimmermen comes foward
“I’m stepping forward for George because this was not a racial incident,” Oliver said. “I’m stepping forward for George because of how it has it ignited all the racial tensions that we’ve had here for years. I understand everything that everyone is out there marching about because I’ve experienced it myself. And I wouldn’t put myself on the line like this if I didn’t know in my heart that George Zimmerman was in a life-or-death struggle.”

March 30th: Backgrounds of George Zimmeraman and Trayvon Martin Revealed
George Zimmerman was arrested in 2005 for assaulting a police officer, and twice later for domestic violence charges against his then fiancée. He’s also called 911 forty-six times. Based on those 911 calls Mother Jones refers to Zimmerman as, “a man obsessed with law and order, with the minutiae of suburban life, and with black males.”
“At 9:02 p.m. on September 21, 2005, he called 911 about a stray dog on Skyline Drive. At 7:22 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, 2005, he called 911 about a “pothole that is blocking [the] road.” Then there was the pile of trash in the road near the local Kohl’s, which he reported on Nov. 8, 2010. “[Complainant] states it appears recently dumped and appears to contain glass,” the dispatcher dutifully reported.
Zimmerman reported a male driving with no headlights; a yellow speedbike popping wheelies on I-4; an aggressive white-and-brown pitbull; an Orange County municipal pickup cutting people off on the road; loud parties; open garage doors; and the antics of an ex-roommate. On September 9, 2009, he called to report another pothole, this one on Greenwood road, advising the dispatcher that “it is deep and can cause damage to vehicles.” This past January, he called to report five or six children, ages 4 to 11, playing in the neighborhood. The kids, he told a dispatcher, “play in the street and like to run out [in front of] cars.” At 2:38 a.m. on Nov. 4, 2006, he called about a late-model Red Toyota pickup “driving real slow looking at all the [vehicles] in the complex and blasting music from his [vehicle].”
In August 2011, he called to report a black male in a tank top and shorts acting suspicious near the development’s back entrance. “[Complainant] believes [subject] is involved in recent S-21s”-break-ins-”in the neighborhood,” the call log states. Three days later, he called to report two black teens in the same area, for the same reason. And last month, on Feb. 2, Zimmerman called to report a suspicious black man in a leather jacket near one of the development’s units.
Trayvon Martin was suspended three times from high school for truancy, graffiti, and for having in his possession a baggie that contained trace amounts of marijuana residue.
Bill Lee, Sanford police chief, was dean at college that expelled George Zimmerman
Lee’s application for police chief in 2011 indicates he was associate dean at the school from 2009 until he accepted the job as Sanford’s top cop last spring.

Experts say screams on 911 audio can’t be George Zimmerman’s
One expert, Tom Owen, used voice identification software to rule out Zimmerman as the source. From the Sentinel:
“I took all of the screams and put those together, and cut out everything else,” Owen says. The software compared that audio to Zimmerman’s voice. It returned a 48 percent match. Owen said to reach a positive match with audio of this quality, he’d expect higher than 90 percent.
“As a result of that, you can say with reasonable scientific certainty that it’s not Zimmerman,” Owen says, stressing that he cannot confirm the voice as Trayvon’s, because he didn’t have a sample of the teen’s voice to compare.
Another analyst came to a similar conclusion using different technology.

Full text of the homepage below:
I am the real George Zimmerman,
On Sunday February 26th, I was involved in a life altering event which led me to become the subject of intense media coverage. As a result of the incident and subsequent media coverage, I have been forced to leave my home, my school, my employer, my family and ultimately, my entire life. This website’s sole purpose is to ensure my supporters they are receiving my full attention without any intermediaries.
It has come to my attention that some persons and/or entities have been collecting funds, thinly veiled as my “Defense Fund” or “Legal Fund.” I cannot attest to the validity of these other websites as I have not received any funds collected, intended to support my family and I through this trying, tragic time.
I have created a PayPal account solely linked on this website as I would like to provide an avenue to thank my supporters personally and ensure that any funds provided are used only for living expenses and legal defense, in lieu of my forced inability to maintain employment. I will also personally, maintain accountability of all funds received. I reassure you, every donation is appreciated.
